When I started this post, it was exactly 24 hours until we have to be at the hospital for my induction. Now it is only 19 1/2!!
I keep flipping back and forth between being anxious and excited! lol! If I think about it too much, I start to get nervous, thinking of all the things that could potentially NOT go the way I want them to. So I am trying not to think about it too much, and just let what happens happen. As long as baby and I both come out healthy, that is all that REALLY matters.
Luckily, I am pretty busy today with getting all the last minute things done (one of the benefits of having a scheduled induction!), such as grocery shopping, laundry, a bit of cleaning, etc. So I really don't have a lot of time to sit and think!
At this time tomorrow, I will hopefully be in labour, making some good progress! I won't have access to a computer at the hospital, so I will have to wait until I get home to update. But as soon as I get a chance, I will let you all know how it all went!!
I can't believe I am actually going to have my baby VERY SOON!!!!
I'm a homeschooling, homesteading, mama of 6! We are not exactly a "typical" family, and that's just the way we like it!

40 weeks, 3 days.
Okay, I am going crazy! This baby needs to hurry up and get here!!! At least I know that if not before, it will be here on Tuesday (or Wednesday)!!
I had a bit of a stressful day yesterday.
A while back, I posted about how my in-laws were going to be away this weekend, at a wedding. Well shortly after we found that out, my mother-in-law changed her mind, and said that if I hadn't had the baby yet, she would stay home (they don't even really know the people who are getting married, so I really don't know why they were planning on going in the first place!!). That made me feel much better, since she is supposed to be watching the kids while we go to the hospital. So I told my mom not to worry about being a back-up, and since then, my sister has started going back to work, and my mom is babysitting Lily most evenings and weekends, so it would be harder for her to come out here and watch the kids anyways (that's a WHOLE different story, and I really don't feel like getting into it right now!).
ANYWAYS, for some reason I was having a bit of an emotional day yesterday, maybe it was because I watched the season premier of Grey's Anatomy while the kids napped, which ALWAYS makes me cry, pregnant or not! lol!
Just as I was getting the kids up to go get Jade from school, my father-in-law stopped by (he ALWAYS stops by at the most inconvenient times!). I was trying to get Hayden to stop crying (he was still tired) and get everyone's shoes on, and my father-in-law says "so, you know we're going to that wedding this weekend, right?" and I said "Yeah, but Lorna's staying home, right?" and he said "No, she's coming now, didn't Gairod tell you?!" I said "NO, what are we supposed to do if I go into labour???" he said "I don't know, I thought Gairod talked to you about it". At this point I was PISSED, and I HAD to leave to get Jade, or I was going to be late, so I was really short with him, and left. I almost started crying as soon as I got into the suburban, I was totally pissed off, and freaking out! I called Gairod on my cell, and he said that Thursday night his dad called him on his way home from work, and said that Kody and Kim really wanted Lorna to come, so that Kim would have someone to talk to and hang out with (besides Durno, Gairod's dad), since Kody is in the wedding party, and they really don't know ANYONE, except the groom! Gairod told him that he would have to talk to me, because he didn't know if my parents would be available or not. But Gairod forgot to talk to me about it Thursday night, and apparently Lorna and Durno just assumed it was fine for them to go.
I was SO pissed off! You don't tell someone you are going to be home and able to watch their kids, and then at the last minute change your mind!! Apparently Kim needing a "friend" to talk to, is much more important then us having someone to watch our kids if I go into labour!! I AM overdue, and statistically, the chances of me going into labour go UP every day that I am late!
Gairod was pissed too, and yesterday before they left, his dad told him to call one of their cell phones if I go into labour, and Gairod said to him "Why? What's the point?? You aren't going to be here anyways!!"
So I talked to my mom, and she said not to worry, she would come out and watch the kids, no matter what time it is, and if she had to, she would just bring Lily out with her! She could probably tell I was holding back tears as I talked to her on the phone, so she was trying to be very reassuring and supportive!
So now I am really hoping to go into labour this weekend, just to spite them! I probably won't and everything will be fine, but it's still the principle of it! Lorna called me before they left yesterday, and said "don't have the baby this weekend", to which I replied "the baby is going to come when it wants to!"
They tried calling this morning, to check up on me, and I purposely didn't answer the phone! I know that's mean, but I am still mad at them, so I'll let them sweat it out for a while, wondering if we are at the hospital!!

40 Week Pictures!
Today I am officially 40 weeks pregnant! (although I just realized yesterday that my doctor has my due date as Sept 22nd, but I am still going with the 23rd, since that is what I have been going with the whole time!)
Anyways, still no sign of baby coming anytime soon, but I guess that can change quickly, right?!? I am SOOO ready to be done (the kids are driving me CRAZY, and it is super hot again, it was 34 degrees today!!), but at the same time I am sad knowing that in less than a week, I WILL be done. I will miss feeling my baby moving inside me, I will miss the nice smiles I get from strangers, and I will miss having a reason to be fat! lol!

40 week prenatal appointment!!
Today I had my 40 week prenatal appointment - my FINAL one!!
Everything is still fine, baby is head down. My uterus is measuring 40 weeks, and baby's heart rate was 140 bpm. He checked me again today, and no change - my cervix is softening, but not doing anything else. My doctor is still confident that I will go into labour on my own, within the next week. BUT, in case that doesn't happen (and I really don't think it will), he booked me in for an induction next Tuesday, September 29th, at 9:30am!!!
I am excited, scared, and nervous, all at the same time! I really wasn't expecting him to book anything today, I thought I would come back for one last prenatal appointment next week and THEN he would book something. Having an actual date makes it all seem so final. I WILL have my baby by next Tuesday (or Wednesday, depending on how long it takes!) I am SOOO happy that he is willing to induce, since so many doctors won't induce a VBAC. He said we will start by inserting a catheter into my cervix, to try and get it dilating. Then if we need to, he will start me on a low dose of pitocin. That makes me SO happy (yes, I KNOW I just said that!)! I didn't think he would use pitocin, but I am glad that he will :)
It's kind of scary and surreal. In some ways I am totally ready, but in others I don't feel ready at all. It also doesn't help that Gairod's work schedule is CRAZY right now, so he would like me to put off having the baby as long as possible. - Yeah, okay honey, I'll just keep it in here for a few more months, until things settle down a bit!! But seriously, I do feel somewhat guilty that I am going to be having a baby right away, and taking him away from work. I know that sounds crazy, but it is just how I feel!
SO, I would still prefer to go into labour on my own, but not this week! lol! I would like to hold off until the weekend, so that Gairod can at least get a full week of work in! But whatever will be, will be! Next week at this time, I will either have had my baby already, or I will be in the hospital, only hours away from having it!!!

Work
For the past 8 months, Gairod has had hardly any work, and we are now getting down to a scary point, where we have hardly any money left.
Luckily, in the past week or two, work has been picking up. The only problem is, this is a BAD time for him to get really busy!!
It is 9:50pm right now, and Gairod is STILL not home from work. He left at about 5:50 this morning. He figures it will probably be long hours like this for most of the week.
As hard as it is taking care of the kids by myself all weekend AND all week, I really can't be mad, because we NEED the money. It just sucks because I will be (hopefully) going into labour sometime in the next week or so, and I am going to need him there (and AWAKE) to support me! I am worried that he is going to work too hard all week, and totally exhausted himself, and then I will go into labour, and he will be too tired to function! THEN, when we come home with the baby, we will BOTH be exhausted.
So I am happy that he is finally getting some decent work, but it is just coming at a crappy time!

Frustrated
My determination to have a good week paid off, and I DID have a good week, up until today. Today my kids are frustrating me again.
I KNOW that they still need an afternoon nap, because when they don't have one, they are very cranky by late afternoon. But I am STRUGGLING with trying to get them to nap! I KNOW that a BIG part of the problem is the fact that there are three of them in one room, but there really is no other option right now, so that is just the way it has to be!
As soon as I put them down, they are all up laughing and giggling and jumping on beds, and playing around. I can't, as my husband suggests, stand at their door, and go in and yell at them continually, until they finally stay in bed and go to sleep. I have tried this, and all it does is make me more and more mad! Plus, it is not practical, and completely defeats the purpose of me getting a chance to get anything done, or relax and have a little break.
So I have resorted to putting them into their beds, and then leaving them, HOPING that they will eventually settle down and go to sleep. Some days they play, talk and giggle for a bit, then go to sleep within 1/2 - 1 hour. Other days (like today), they just get rowdier and rowdier, and eventually start destroying their room. They get into child locked drawers, and pull out ALL of the wipes, and they get stuff down from heights that there is NO WAY they should be able to get it down! I have often heard the suggestion to take everything out of their room, except for their beds, but again, due to MAJOR lack of space, that is NOT an option for us!
So I am at my wits end! I don't know what to do. Today I went into their destroyed room, sat on the floor, and just cried. I need them to nap, and I know that THEY need to nap, but I don't know how to get them to consistently do it!

Baby Pool
I have decided to start a last minute baby pool, thanks to the suggestion of a few friends on Facebook! There is no prize, it is just for fun! But if you want to get your guess in - Birth date, sex, and weight - leave me a comment, and I will get you on the list! :)
To be fair, this is the info I shared on Facebook: Due date is Sept 23rd. With Jade I was induced at 1 week overdue. With triplets I had a scheduled c-section due to slowed growth of baby A (Kadance). I am carrying the same way I did with Jade - low and out front!
I will let you know who won after baby is born. Have fun guessing! :)

39 week prenatal appointment!
Tomorrow I will be 39 weeks, but today I had my prenatal appointment!
Everything is still looking good. Baby is still head down, and my uterus is measuring 39 weeks. Baby's heart rate was 147 bpm. I got the doctor to check me today, and he said I am softening, but not dilating yet. I will take what I can get! Softening is better than nothing, right?!
I really don't think I will go into labour this week, as much as I would like to! I have been having fantasies of my water breaking, and getting everything going, but I am not holding my breath waiting for it to happen! lol!
I am starting to think I might have an early October baby, instead of a September one....

Determined
I am determined to make this week a better, faster, week! I have lots of mainly fun stuff planned, so I am really hoping it will fly by, and leave me not too exhausted and cranky at the end! lol!
Monday - This morning our Parent Link Playgroup started up again. Every Monday, from 9:30am - 11am, there is a free playgroup for kids 0-5, only a block from my house. I took the triplets quite often last year, and they loved it! I like it too, as it gives me a chance to chat with other parents, and let my kids play with things that I don't usually let them play with at home. For example: paint, chalk, play dough, coloring. Pretty much all stuff that I find too messy, so therefore deprive my kids of! lol!
Tuesday - Tomorrow I have my prenatal appointment! Some people may not view this as a "fun" activity, but for me it is! 2 - 3 hours, out of the house, with no kids - honestly, what more could I ask for?! Then in the evening I have to get groceries. Again, not an activity that most would find "fun", but I have recently started going in the evening, with just Jade. It's a nice chance for us to chat and spend time together, and Gairod has to get the little kids into bed!
Wednesday - One Wednesday a month, we have our TTMAC (Twins, Triplets, and More Association of Calgary) zone coffee social. This is where a bunch of moms of multiples that live in my area, get together in the evening, without kids, to chat and have some snacks/drinks. This is MY chance to get out of the house in the evening, by myself, and talk with other moms who can (somewhat) relate!
Thursday - This Thursday, MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers) is starting back up. I haven't gone to MOPS before, but I know several ladies that have, and they have been trying to convince me to come for quite a while, so I decided that this year I would try it out! It's two Thursdays a month, for two hours in the morning. They do different topics each time, and they have child care in another room (which is free), so you can actually listen and pay attention! Thursday evenings, Jade has her gymnastics class at the Little Gym. She started 3 weeks ago, and is really enjoying it! I am also enjoying taking her, because again, it is time out of the house with just Jade, and Gairod has to put the little kids to bed!
Friday - I don't have anything planned on Friday, so this would be a great day to have the baby! lol! Okay, maybe that is wishful thinking, but hey, I can always hope, right?!

Thank You
I want to take a minute to thank everyone who read and commented on my last post. I was having a crappy weekend. Reading your comments brought tears to my eyes. Knowing that others care and understand really means a lot to me.! THANK YOU!!!
I feel like I should further explain my frustration, now that I am a bit more calm about it! lol!
There are certain things that Gairod and I don't see eye-to-eye on. I suppose these are things we should have discussed BEFORE we got married and started having kids, but we didn't, so now we have to figure them out as we go along. Gairod is a very social, and active person. I am quite happy at home with my family. This causes us problems. He plays baseball, volleyball, hockey, fishes, and hunts. All of these activities can cause him to be out of the house SEVERAL times a week (depending on what time of year it is, and which things are over-lapping) and many weekends. We argue quite often about the fact that I am stuck at home looking after the kids by myself, while he is off having fun with his friends. His solution is that I can bring the kids and come watch. Yeah, right! Have you tried keeping three 2-year-olds happy and out of trouble for an entire baseball game?? It's NOT easy, ESPECIALLY when you are 9 months pregnant!! His other solution, is for me to find some activities of my now. That sounds great in theory, but in reality, if he is out of the house several nights a week, how am I supposed to be out of the house too?? We can't afford, nor do I want, to get a babysitter all the time. Plus, to be quite honest, at the end of a busy day, I don't really WANT to go out and do something, I just want to relax at home!
For the most part, I don't complain about the evening activities. The kids are in bed, and I just want to relax on the computer or the couch, so if he wants to go out and play a sport, it is usually fine with me. I DON'T like when he has to leave before bath time, because right now especially, it is hard and tiring for me to bath them all myself.
Weekends are what I have a problem with. To me, weekends should be family time. Yes, sometimes Gairod has to work on a weekend, and as much as I don't like it, I try to grin and bare it, because right now especially, we need him to get all the work he can! But when he is not working, I want him to be home spending time and helping, with the kids! ESPECIALLY right now! I am sore, I am tired, and I NEED help these last few weeks! I spend all day everyday looking after the kids. I am not complaining, because that is what I like and want to do! But day after day of nothing but the same old routine with 2-year-olds can definitely take it's toll on a person! I like being able to do something "different" on the weekends. Going out for breakfast, taking the kids swimming, pretty much ANYTHING that gets us out of the house, and I don't have to deal with things by myself. This helps to give me strength and re-energize me for the next week.
SO my problem this weekend, was that Gairod was in a baseball tournament. He played Friday evening - fine. He worked Saturday morning, and then played two games in the afternoon. Sunday, he was playing in the morning, so suggested that the kids and I come out and watch. I didn't really want to, because I KNEW it would be more work than fun, but I agreed, since I also knew that if we didn't go to ball, we probably wouldn't get out of the house.
Before the game even started, the kids were already causing trouble, because THEY wanted to play ball with daddy, and didn't understand that they had to stay off the field while the adults played! So I spent the entire game chasing and disciplining kids - lots of fun! It was noon when the game was over, and Gairod's team didn't play again until almost 2pm. So I asked if he was coming home between games (the tournament was in Madden, and tiny village about 10-15 min away). He said that no, there wasn't really any point in him coming home between games. So right away, I was pissed off, because it was past lunch time and the kids were cranky. I thought he could come home, and help get the kids lunch and down for a nap, and then head back out to the ball diamond. Plus, we had taken one vehicle out there, so me leaving with the kids, meant that he didn't have a vehicle, and would have to get a ride home with someone. So I was pissed when I left, and he knew it. He called later in the afternoon and left a message (I was still mad, so I didn't answer the phone) saying that they had won their game and were playing again. So I had to get the kids supper, bath them, and get them into bed, all by myself. Gairod didn't get home until after 8pm. I was NOT happy. In fact I didn't say a word to him for the rest of the evening, and only said a few words to him this morning before he left for work.
I just wish we had the same priorities when it comes to spending time with family. I feel like when he has the option of staying home and helping me out, or going out and doing something fun for him, he ALWAYS picks something fun for him. He doesn't think about my feelings, or the fact that the kids want to see him (they screamed and cried the entire way home from the ball diamond, because they wanted daddy to come with us), he just thinks about what HE wants to do. He always says that when the kids are older, he can bring them with him, and do these activities with the kids, but I keep trying to tell him that if he doesn't spend time with the kids right NOW, they won't want to spend time with him later!
So that is why I was so upset yesterday. Like I said, I KNOW we should have discussed this stuff BEFORE having kids, but we didn't, so all we can do now is try and figure out the best way to deal with it.
DONE!!!!
I know all of my posts lately have been whiny and bitchy, but I don't care, because that is how I feel right now. I am done. I am done being pregnant. I am done with dealing with 3 cranky, whiny, not listening, 2-year-olds. I am done dealing with a whiny, attitude-filled 7-year-old, and I am done being on the bottom of Gairod's priority list. I am done with everything. Right now I just want to run away, and live by myself, with no one to look after but ME, until this baby is born.

When will I learn?!
Even thought I KNOW they still need the sleep, it is getting harder and harder to get the triplets to nap in the afternoon.
So I have decided to take the approach of "If they nap great, if not, they can stay in their room anyways!" I honestly do not have the energy to fight with them to sleep, so as long as they are in their room, and I get somewhat of a break, I am fine with it.
Well, apparently I still need to child-proof their room a little better!
Today, while they played for 2 hours, Kadance decided to take it upon herself to take off all her clothes and her diaper, and put on a pair of boys swim trunks and a hat!

Am I Crazy???
Sometimes I wonder if I am crazy for having another baby. Not that we can turn back now, but am I really going to be able to handle it??
Today for example, Jade and I fought all morning (clothing issues), until she left the house for school in tears. The triplets have been driving me CRAZY - fighting, whining, NOT napping, and not listening. I am tired, sore (I swear the baby is bashing it's head into my cervix, causing sharp, shooting pains), cranky, and just generally feeling BLAH. Gairod is working late, which means I have to get everyone fed, bathed, ready for bed, and into bed, by myself. Now I try to imagine throwing a newborn into the mix, and I am not sure how I am going to do it.
This is NOT my first baby, so I am not naive, and I KNOW that everything will NOT be instantly better once the baby is here. I will still be tired (probably MORE tired!), I will still be sore (for a little while at least), and I will still be hormonal and cranky! Jade will still have her 7-year-old attitude issues, and the triplets will still be typical drive-you-crazy 2-year-olds!
So honestly, am I crazy????

38 weeks and Prenatal appointment!
Today I am 38 weeks, and I had a prenatal appointment. Everything is still looking good, my group B strep came back negative, so that is good! Baby is still head down, and the heart rate was 160 bpm. He didn't check me today, and I was going to ask, but I really doubt anything is happening yet, so I figured I will just wait until next week!
Only 2 (or 3) weeks to go!!

Not very happy.......
Sometime in July, we asked Gairod's mom if she would watch the kids for us when we go to the hospital to have the baby. She said that she could definitely do it. Perfect, we were all set! Gairod's parents only live a couple blocks away, and his mom pretty much knows our routine, so I was glad to have her watching the kids - she could get here quickly (if need be), and I wouldn't have to worry about all hell braking loose while we are gone!
So last night, we got Gairod's brother and his wife to babysit for us, so we could go out for one last "date night" before the baby comes. Since I plan on breast feeding, it will be a while before we can get out with no kids again!
After we got back from dinner, we were casually chatting with Kody and Kim (Gairod's brother and his wife), and they happened to mention that they are going to a wedding next weekend in BC, with Gairod's mom and dad. It took me a minute, but all of a sudden I realized, that I will only be a week and a half away from my due date next weekend!! Then they said that they are going to another wedding together the weekend of September 25th - 27th. The 25th is only 2 days after my due date!!
So I am quite pissed off that they aren't even going to be here for two whole weekends, RIGHT around the time that I could be having the baby, AND they DIDN'T EVEN TELL US!!!! Did they not think that it was important for us to find a backup??? It's not like we can just dump four kids on someone last minute, we need to plan that kind of stuff!!
We haven't had a chance to ask them about it, since they are away camping this weekend. But I asked my mom this morning, if she would be our back-up babysitter, in case I go into labour when Gairod's mom isn't here. She said she would, but (and I hate to say this) I am not as comfortable with her watching the kids as I am with Gairod's mom. Mainly because a) she doesn't know our routine as well, and b) I am not sure if she will be willing to come out to our house to watch the kids (my parents only live in a city 15 minutes away).
Part of the reason we never get my parents to watch the kids for us, is because they ALWAYS want us to bring the kids in to their house, instead of coming out here. I am sorry, but it is MUCH easier for them to come out here, where everything is child proofed, and the kids have all their stuff (food, toys, beds, etc), then for us to pack up four kids (and all their stuff!) and bring them in to their house. My parents act like it is a big inconvenience for them to come out to our house, yet they are always asking me to bring the kids in to see them!
SO, I am REALLY hoping I go into labour when Gairod's mom is here. But if not, I think we will be INSISTING that my mom comes out to our house. Is she really going to argue with someone who is in labour??

2 1/2 Years Old!!!
My "babies" are 2 1/2 years old today! I can't believe it, that sounds so old! lol! For now, they still seem like my little babies, but I know that as soon as we have this baby, they will seem SO much bigger and older :(
Here are their 2 1/2 year stats:
Kadance - 26 lbs (between 10th and 25th percentile)
34 1/2 inches (between 10th and 25th percentile)
Cole - 31 lbs (between 50th and 75th percentile)
36 inches (50th percentile)
Hayden - 29 1/2 lbs (50th percentile)
35 inches (25th percentile)
Here are a few pictures of them all in the tub the other night! They were having a blast, because they normally don't get to bath together. We just find it much easier to bath them all separately. But this night we were cutting the boys hair, and the kids were all running around outside right before bath time, and they were all filthy, so instead of them making a mess of the house, we decided to just throw them all in together!

Nesting??? Yeah Right!!
I can without a doubt say that I am NOT nesting right now - But I wish I was!! I was really hoping that Jade getting back to school would get me back into routine, and I could start getting some stuff done around here! Unfortunately, that doesn't seem to be the case!
I did really good on Monday and Tuesday, I got all of my house chores done on those days. But I really haven't gotten much done the rest of the week. My house is seriously dirty, and I DO NOT want it to be dirty when baby comes, but I just do not have the motivation or energy to clean it!!
I am sure part of it is because it has been SOOO hot this past week, and part of it is because I am so huge, tired and sore! I KNOW how much MORE tired (and possibly sore) I will be after baby is here, so I really don't want to exhausted myself in the little time I have left! BUT I also know I will have LESS time to clean once baby is here, so I want to at least start off with a clean house!
So unless anyone want to come and clean my house for me, I REALLY need to get the motivation and energy, and just do it!!

37 Week Prenatal Appointment!
Today I had my 37 week prenatal appointment.
Everything is still going well! My uterus is measuring 39 weeks (2 weeks ahead), and the baby's heart rate was 145 bpm. Baby is still head down (YAY!). I didn't get checked today, although I doubt there is any progress.
My doctor said that he is quite confident that I will go into labour on my own, and be able to have a successful VBAC. I really hope so. The closer it gets to my due date, the more worried I have been that I won't go into labour, and that I will end up with a c-section. Having had both a vaginal delivery (with no pain meds) and a c-section, I MUCH prefer the vaginal delivery! It just seems more natural, easier to bond with baby, and in my case now, I REALLY don't want the extra recovery time of a c-section! With three 2-year-olds, I don't have the option of taking it easy, and not lifting for several weeks. We can't afford for Gairod to take any time off work, so I will most likely be on my own from the day I get home from the hospital.
In the event that I go over due, my doctor said that he won't let me go past 41 weeks. So that means that I have NO MORE THAN 4 WEEKS LEFT! They don't like to induce with hormones for previous c-section patients, because it increases your risk of uterine rupture. BUT, he said that there are some things that they can try, including inserting a catheter into my cervix to try and dilate it.
So I am really trying to not worry about whether or not I get my VBAC, and just focus on the fact that as long as I have a healthy baby, in the big picture, it doesn't really matter HOW it comes out!
I want to enjoy my last few weeks of pregnancy (although I am finding that really hard to do right now), since this will most likely be my last time experiencing it. Before I know it, I will have my baby in my arms, and this will all be nothing but memories!

Child locks.......
Apparently child locks don't always work. That, or my kids are figuring out how to open them.
It's hard to tell in this picture, but while the triplets were *supposed* to be napping, they got into their change table drawer (which has a child lock on it), and emptied out ALL of Kadance's hair stuff (she has A LOT!), and emptied out 2 full packages of wipes.
Mommy was NOT happy!

Tired of the Heat!!
I am normally NOT the type of person who would ever say this, but I am TIRED of the heat!!! It has been SO hot here the last few weeks, and it is supposed to continue for at least this next week. I normally LOVE summer, and hot weather, but being at the end of my pregnancy, I am sick of it!! Our house is like a sauna. That makes it hard to get things done. When you're sweating just sitting on the couch, do you really want to get up and vacuum??? It also makes it so much harder for the kids to get to sleep, as well as us!
I am ready for Fall! I want to start doing more meals in the slow cooker and casseroles in the oven. I am TIRED of bbqing all the time, because it is so damn hot in our house I don't dare use the stove or oven and heat it up even more!!
I am sure once Fall actually comes, I will be wishing for Summer again! But for now, I am TIRED OF THE HEAT, and ready for some cooler weather!

First Day of School!
Today was the first day of school! And being the wonderful mother that I am, I FORGOT to get a picture of Jade, before her first day of grade 2. So instead, I took one of her sitting on the couch, relaxing, AFTER her first day! Hey, whatever works, right?!
I can already say, that I am SO happy that I arranged carpooling with another mom I know! She is going to pick Jade up every morning and take her to school, and I am going to pick up Jade and her little boy everyday after school.
Last year I had to take Jade to school and back every day. It was a pain in the mornings, having to wake up the little kids, and rush to get everyone ready and out the door by 8:30 every morning. It was also a pain in the afternoons, having to wake the little kids up from their naps to go get Jade. I SO wish we had busing here, but being a small town, that is not an option. SO, I figured if I could at least avoid the morning stress/rush to get out the door, I wouldn't mind waking the kids from their nap in the afternoon.
