A VERY busy day!

Saturday was a VERY busy day! Every June, usually on Father's day weekend, our town has "Pete Knight Days", which consist of a couple pancake breakfasts, a parade, a rodeo, a demolition derby, a show and shine, and newly this year, a motocross race!

We haven't really participated in much the last few years, since we have been kind of busy with babies! Last year Gairod had to work the whole weekend, and I had a bridal shower to go to, so I took the kids to the parade, but that was it. So we were quite excited this year, to be able to do most of the stuff!

We got up Saturday morning, and took the kids down to the pancake breakfast. Then we came home and waited for our friends Rob and Mel to come over, with their two girls, and walk down to the parade with us. The kids loved the parade this year! They boys (especially Cole) were really into getting candy, and Kadance was so excited to see all the horses (she LOVES horses)! After the parade was over, we went back to our house, and the kids all played in the backyard, while Gairod and Rob cooked up some smokies and hot dogs on the BBQ for lunch. After lunch, we headed out to the rodeo grounds. We watched some rodeo, and did some games at the 'carnival'.

We had to leave at about 4pm, to take Jade into Airdrie for a birthday party. The little kids fell asleep almost immediately, and napped the whole way to Airdrie and back. We dropped Jade off, and went back to the rodeo grounds to watch the demolition derby. We then had to leave again, to go pick Jade up, at about 6:45pm.

The kids were SOOOO dirty, we put them all straight into the tub when we got home, got them washed up and into pajamas. Then we ordered some pizza (since none of us except Jade had had supper yet!), everyone ate, and we finally got the kids into bed at around 9:30pm!!

So it was a VERY long, but fun, day, and the kids did VERY well, for not really napping, and not eating supper until LATE!
