Well, yesterday evening, we ended up taking Cole into Urgent Care for x-rays on his foot!
Yesterday afternoon, he was playing in the hall by himself, when all of a sudden he came out to the kitchen kind of crying and saying "ow!" He was pointing to his foot. They are always stubbing their toes or dropping things on them, so I picked up his foot, kissed it better, and sent him on his way! A few hours later, Gairod noticed that he was limping, and only using his tippy toes to walk with his left foot. So we took off his sock and took a good look, but couldn't see anything wrong. A few hours after that, he was hardly using his foot, and whimpering and saying "ow" whenever he did. Gairod's parent were over for dinner, since it was his mom's birthday. His mom offered to stay with the other kids, if we wanted to take Cole in to get looked at. We decided Friday night might be a shorter wait than Saturday morning, so we took him in around 7:30pm.
The doctor checked him out, but couldn't seem to figure out what was wrong, so she sent us for x-rays. All of his bones looked fine, but the back of his foot was a bit swollen. All she could think was that he probably sprained it. She said to alternate giving him Advil and Tylenol for the next 72 hours, and his foot should just get better on it's own.
It is now 4:30 in the afternoon, and poor little Cole is still in a lot of pain :( I wish his foot would hurry up and get better, I hate to see him hurting!
