I ♥ My Triplets!

I love having triplets. Have I ever said that before?! I feel honoured that I was chosen to be their mother, and to help foster their unique bond.

This is another reason I want to homeschool. I want all of my kids to not only spend time together, but I want them to enjoy spending time together. Friends come and go, but family is forever.

Anyways, here is a cute video I got today when the triplets were playing out in the backyard while I made lunch! :)

Only 4 weeks left!!

Jade has only 4 weeks left of school until Summer vacation................and then we start homeschooling in September!!! I am SO excited, I can hardly wait!

I am really looking forward to the change of pace, and the change of lifestyle. :)

Sage is 8 months old!!!

I can't believe my baby girl is 8 months old today!!

I took her to the health center a couple of day ago and weighed/measured her. She is 19 lbs 4 ozs (75th percentile), and 25.75 inches (20th percentile). So basically, she is short and fat! lol! I must produce straight cream, because she still isn't eating much of anything else. We are still struggling with baby food - she is very picky. So I have started trying her on some finger foods, hoping that she might like that better, but so far she really only likes Cheerios and Gerber puffs.

I have started moving Sage up to 12 month size clothes, especially pants, because she is getting too chunky for 6-9 months! lol! She is the exact opposite of Kadance, who I have always need to move up for length, even when the waists were still too big!

Sage has tiny feet. I took her to get sandals last week, and she is only in a size 1! Even my petite little Kadance was in a 2 or 3 by this age!

Sage is such a happy baby. She is always smiling, and her face just lights up whenever one of her brothers or sisters comes into the room - I love it! She is such a blessed little girl to have so many people love her! ♥

This is kind of off topic, but I have decided that I REALLY need to get serious about weight loss. So instead of boring everyone on this blog with the details (as well as sharing personal information about my weight with people that I don't know at all!), I have created a separate, private blog, to document my weight-loss journey. May Long!

For the May long weekend, we decided to head up to my parents cabin at Waskesiu Lake, in SK. The weather wasn't the greatest, but it was a nice get-away, and the kids had a blast! Sage did great for her first time travelling (it's about a 9 hour trip), actually ALL of the kids did great! :)

There is something about the going to the Lake that is always so refreshing and rejuvenating. I am not sure exactly what it is, maybe it's the fresh lake air, or maybe it's all the time spent outside enjoying nature, or maybe it's just the break in routine. But I always come home refreshed, and in a new frame of mind, ready to make some changes!

This evening Kadance and I both went and got our hair cut! I wanted to chop off most of her length for the summer, so that it would be cooler, and easier to manage :)

Sooooooo.............Yesterday Gairod and I were re-arranging some boxes in the garage, and he had to move Sage's swing out of the way. He said "You should just sell this thing!" I said "No, we are still going to need it!" He said "We will buy a new swing for our next baby, one that you can plug in. This one goes through batteries way too fast!"

It was all I could do to keep my composure!! He didn't even hesitate a bit before talking about "our next baby"!!!

Our conversation continued with me saying that changing the batteries a few times still doesn't amount to the cost of a new swing, and him saying that we will just have a baby shower for our 6th baby, and someone can buy it for us! lol!

No news, is good news :)

I just realized that it has been almost 10 days since my last post!

Everything is fine, I've just been busy! :) I've been de-cluttering, and since the weather has finally turned nice again, I have been spending time outside with the kids.

So in this case, not hearing from me is a good thing! :)

Bath Time!

Today I decided to try something different! I usually bath the kids in the evening, just before bed. I HATE bath time. I am SO tired by the end of the day, I am just done. All I want to do is get the kids in bed, so I can finish up some stuff, and then relax for a bit! Since we weren't going anywhere today, decided to try bathing the kids in the morning, instead of doing it tonight :) I also decided to try 2 in the tub at a time, instead of the way I usually do it - 1 at a time!

It worked really well, and I am already looking forward to not having to bath them this evening! lol!

De-cluttering/Re-organizing!

I feel like de-cluttering and re-organizing are NEVER ending! Does anyone else feel that way?!

I think it's a combination of a too small house, too much stuff, and too many kids! lol!

Anyways, I have been busy getting rid of stuff, and moving things around again! I forgot to take "before" pictures, so I tried to find pictures that you could see the areas in the background! lol!

My absolute favorite are the two big cabinets we got for the kitchen. We used to have a microwave stand that was packed with stuff, and looked SO messy! We cleared it out, got rid of TONS of stuff, and now we have one big cabinet for some of that stuff, and one big cabinet for our homeschooling stuff!

I honestly feel like I will NEVER be done de-cluttering, but as long as I am steadily getting rid of stuff, I feel like I am at least making some progress!

Today my mom and I went shopping at the CHER (Canadian Home Education Resources) store in Calgary, and I got pretty much everything I am going to need to start homeschooling Jade in September! :)

I am SO excited, I can't wait to get started! lol!
