Happy 5th Birthday Kadance, Cole, and Hayden!

On Monday March 5th, Kadance, Cole, and Hayden turned 5 years old! They had a GREAT birthday!!

Gairod worked the night shift on Sunday, so he was already in Calgary on Monday morning. The kids and I got up and ready to go, and met him at Village Square Leisure Center, to go swimming for the morning! The kids were all excited, because we don't normally go to this pool, and it has a few waterslides. It was perfect. We were in the water by 9:30am, and aside from a few elderly people, we were the only ones in the whole place!

After we were done swimming, we went to Crossiron Mills mall, and had lunch in the food court. I should mention that we didn't tell the kids any of what we would be doing before hand, so the whole day was a surprise to them! :)

After we had lunch, we went to Toys R Us, and let Kadance, Cole, and Hayden each pick out a new bike for their birthday presents!! They were SO happy!! They LOVE riding bikes, and their current ones are too small, so it was a perfect birthday gift!

After we were done at the mall, we popped over to Costco to pick up a few things for their birthday party, and then into Airdrie to pick up Cole's cake. (He wanted a DQ ice cream cake, the other 2 wanted homemade cakes) Then we headed home to get ready for the party! :)

We decided to just have a really simple party this year, pizza and cake, and only family. Unfortunately half of our family ended up sick that day, so only half were able to make it to the party. My parents, Gairod's parents, and Gairod's brother Kody, his wife, and their little boy, were the only ones able to come. I was kind of disappointed at first, but to be honest, I am kind of getting used to it. We seem to have quite a few family members and friends who either back out at the last minute, or are never able to get together anymore. If they can't make the time for us when we only live 10 minutes away, I am SURE they won't make time for us when we are an hour away. Time to just cut our loses, and stop letting bad family members and friends drag us down!

ANYWAYS, back to the party. The kids had a great time, and that is ALL that really matters!
